
China and Korea announce joint eSports Competition
The two leading nations in the Esports market announced their joint effort in making a new tournament that gathers teams from both land in a test of might in select titles. The tournament is to be called ‘China-Korea e-Sports Competition 2016’ and the signing took place at Wuxi Studio.
China-Korea e-Sports Competition 2016 is an event co-hosted by China Sports Information Center(CSIC) e-Sports Department and Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) and supervised by Mars Yaoyu Media and Wuxi Studio.
Mr. Ding Dong told at the signing ceremony that “China will support the development of e-Sports, and through this opportunity, the interaction of Chinese e-Sports as well as e-Sports developed countries took another big step forward.”
Mr. Man Soo Cho, of KeSPA, illustrated the importance of Korean e-Sports within Korean society along with the milestones in terms of both its history and development.
As for the games chosen for the event the list includes LoL, DOTA2, Warcraft3, and CS:GO. Representatives from each countries to compete for two days, on the 24th and 25th of December
IeSF, holding China and Korea as members, provided the utmost support to see the event through. IeSF helped the interaction between the two nations to contribute to the activation of international e-Sports A-matches.
