All eight teams for the CIS Minor Championship have been determined following the end of the online qualifier.
A total of 256 teams, hailing from all over the CIS region, took part in this two-day online qualifier, hosted by CEVO, with hopes of securing one of the six spots at the upcoming Minor that were up for grabs.
Some of the favourite teams, including pro100, AVANGAR and Quantum Bellator Fire, managed to live up to their billing and finish in the top six, but the qualifier provided plenty of upsets, with FONTAN booking a spot at the Minor at the expense of renowned teams like Spirit Academy and Nemiga, and forZe, who had only recently added Emil “kUcheR” Akhundov, failing to go beyond the Round of 16.
The six qualified teams will join invited duo Spirit and Tengri at the Minor, which will be hosted by PGL from October 26-29 in Bucharest. Aside from the $50,000 prize pool, there will be two spots at the Main Qualifier for ELEAGUE Major 2018 on offer.
