Cloud9 and North invited to a huge event coming soon
Strong competition awaits us at the end of this month between some of the world’s most powerful teams in the shooting game Counter-Strike : Global Offensive.
Today, both Cloud9 and North found themselves facing a single tournament after they received an invitation to participate in the upcoming DreamHack Open Montreal 2017.
Interestingly, this confirms the first participation of the new Cloud9 lineup after the end of the current players’ break, which includes the likes of Will “RUSH” Wierzba, Tarik “tarik” Celik and others.
As for North, Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen said they would participate in three tournaments at the same time to train with their fifth new player but refused to provide more information on the subject.
In the past, there have been many new details about the tournament system and its qualifiers, which will come in two phases. The first is an open qualifier with about 512 teams, while the second phase of the closed qualifiers, which includes only eight teams from the first stage, will find themselves in a confrontation with eight teams Others were invited directly to the tournament.
The open and closed playoffs will take place on 26 and 27 August with just one seat waiting for the winner of European matches and a seat for the North American winner. You can read more details about this in a previous story.
We are now waiting for the call of four other teams after the first two were announced today, to compete together in the main event of the tournament on 8 and 10 September.
