DGL eSports Arena launches in Egypt with $15,000 competitions
Get ready for three days of fierce competitions in the new DGL eSports Arena launching at City Stars, located in the Egyptian capital Cairo where the best players of the country will meet from 27 to 29 June
To celebrate the opening of the new eSports arena, a number of competitions will be held at PUBG Mobile, Rocket League, Clash Royale and FIFA, with prizes of 250,000 EGP (around $15,000).
Registration in any of the above games requires you to buy an entry ticket for 200 pounds, which allows you to compete in one of the games or to just watch if you want to. The challenges will be divided into a qualifying stage which will take place on 27-28 June and major finals on the 29th of the same month, and registration is available to all Egyptian players inside the country.
The qualification requirements for each game are as follows:
For PUBG, in order to qualify for the Semi Finals, players will need to place among the top 10 in a 100 player qualifier.
For FIFA, qualifiers will be split into 128 player best of 1 tournaments, with the top 8 of each tournament progressing to the Semis where the top 16 will face off in a best of 3 Final.
For Clash Royale, qualifiers will be split into 64 player best of 3 tournaments, with the top 8 of each tournament progressing to the Semis where the top 16 will face off in a best of 5 Final.
For Rocket league, qualifiers will be split into 32 player best of 1 tournaments, with the top 4 progressing to the Semis where the top 16 will face off in a best of 3 Final.
You can book your ticket by downloading the DGL app from Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store starting June 25th. Players who fail to qualify for a game can re-enter another qualifier (for the same game) for 50 EGP rather than 200 EGP. If they wish to register for a game they haven’t played yet, the full 200 EGP payment must be made for the first try.
