Diablo 3 will be 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4

The next-gen version of the widely successful RPG, Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, is said to hit the 1080p sweet spot on both consoles.

Xbox One players will have to download a day one patch to up the resolution from the 900p  release to 1080p, while the PS4 will have 1080p from the start. both consoles will run the game at 60FPS.

“Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We’re very happy about that,” Blizzard associate producer Tiffany Wat told Gamespot.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition hits Xbox One and PS4 on August 19, it includes the base game and The Reaper of Souls expansion.
