Disney XD to show to new gaming TV shows on its D|XP segment

It looks like ESL will be making its television debut in the United States with Disney, as the later announced it’s bringing two new gaming shows to its Disney XD channel during its new summer session gaming block D|XP.

ESL Brawlers and ESL Speedrunners, will join Disney’s D|XP. ESL Brawlers will premiere on July 20, with ESL Speedrunners expected in August. ESL Brawlers will feature Street Fighter 5 players vying for a championship over six episodes. Players will enter a “first to 10” match to attempt to knock out the reigning winner. A seventh episode will highlight Vainglory, a mobile MOBA, in a match pitting “community influencers” against professional players.

ESL Speedrunners will be focusing not on players competing against each other. Instead, they’ll race against the clock to complete a game in the shortest amount of time. Speedrunners from all over the world will compete in a variety of games.

D|XP launched July 15 with Polaris Primetime, a sketch show featuring YouTube personality Jimmy Wong. A broadcast of the Super Smash Bros. 4 finals at EVO 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada followed on July 16. Street Fighter V’s EVO tournament aired immediately after.
