DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 European closed qualifier ended today
Sixteen teams from all over Europe – eight coming from an open pre-qualifier and eight invited by DreamHack – competed in a single-elimination bracket for the chance to qualify for the next DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017 event, with two spots up for grabs.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the qualifier came right in the first round as GODSENT و mousesports, who survived a close series against Space Soldiers in the quarter-finals, booked their spot at DreamHack Masters Malmö after defeating FlipSid3
From the other half of the bracket came Team EnVyUs , who were made to work hard to reach the semi-finals by both Playing Ducks and Heroic. Curiously, the semi-final encounter against HellRaisers ended up being the easiest for the Frenchmen, who ran out 2-0 victors.
The list of participants for DreamHack Masters Malmö will be finalized later tonight, following the conclusion of the North American closed qualifier. Below you can find the current team list for the Swedish event:
