DreamHack Open Denver 2017 qualifier results

The recent battles in the big finals of the European and North American qualifiers of the upcoming DreamHack Open Denver 2017 have recently ended, in the shooting game Counter-Strike : Global Offensive or CS:GO.

There were 16 teams participating in each of these qualifiers. We’ll start by talking about the European qualifiers in which HellRaisers starred because they did not suffer any loss in the qualifiers. They reached the final after winning their first game against coREA 2 -0, and then moved on to the next game where their opponent Spirit, who won their first match against MK with a similar score 2-0, but their match against HellRaisers saw the same scenario but with the opposite results, losing the game 2-0.

their next opponent was vs LDLC, who suffered long matches before reaching this stage of the playoffs. their first win took place in a battle against Giants with a 2-0 win. The second was vs benchwarm with a 2-1 win, although the latter won their first game against the team. Tricked with a similar score 2-1.

The confrontation between HellRaisers and LDLC was another of the first-team victories, and despite several attempts to win the win, the final result was 2-1 for HellRaisers.

their last opponent in the big finals of the European qualifiers was Team Dignitas, and we will briefly mention the way the latter reached the finals.

their first match was with Kindest Regards, who beat him 2-0, while the second was eXtatus, losing 2-1, despite winning the first game against YaMaHa-AEROX 2-1.

Team Dignitas was the new captain of Japaleno – handed the armband by the departing player. Snabbabrillor and Binary Dragons had a similar score after 2-0, but this did not stop them from defeating Team Dignitas 2-1.

The finals of these European qualifiers brought together HellRaisers and Team Dignitas in the Inferno map. The battle was interesting until they finished 16-9 for HellRaisers. The second game in the Overpass map, which showed a stronger struggle for the title of victory but repeated the same scenario at the end 16-11 for the same team, making HellRaisers the first to arrive at the DreamHack Open Denver 2017 main event.

We now move on to the North American qualifying campaign, which began with a brilliant start to Renegades after winning their first match against Adaptation and continuing straight into the second match against Rogue. We expected a better match after the latter managed to win their first game against Iceberg 2-1 , But they lost all the maps played and the score was 2-0 for Renegades.

There was a strong opponent hiding in the shadows of the other matches, the NRG, who won their first game against Tempo Storm 2-1 and continued on to the next game against Denial to also win a 2-0 victory, despite the latter’s victory in their first game against Prospects With a similar score of 2-0 as well.

Renegades did not manage to continue, unfortunately, as team NRG broke their record and broke the hopes of their lead, after winning them in a fair match that lasted three maps, ending with a 2-1 lead.

Tempo Storm did not accept the loss easily, but regained their enthusiasm for the win after losing their rivals SoaR in a 2-0 game. their next opponent was a team that won two straight games, Ghost (against Gale Force 2-1 and Luminosity) Tempo Storm managed to beat the strong opponent after finishing the game with a 2-1 lead.

The big finals of the North American qualifiers brought together Tempo Storm and NRG. The latter was so strong that their opponent could not afford to handle too much pressure on both of them, which means that NRG was able to win 2-0 and officially qualify as the second main event.

We await the main event of the DreamHack Open Denver 2017 tournament on October 20-22, with the participation of eight teams with a $ 100,000 prize.
