ELEAGUE season two groups are definitely challenging

After the events of the first ELEAGUE season concluded a couple of weeks ago, it was inevitable that we will be seeing another strong season soon enough. Today, the groups for season two were drawn and they are sure challenging.

The group stage starts October 21 with Group A, featuring Mousesports, Cloud9, FaZe Clan, and Immortals. Mousesports found some success last season with a top four placement, but have been lacking recently since the departure of their former head coach Aleksandar “Kassad” Trifunović.

Former champions Virtus Pro finds themselves in Group B alongside DreamHack Bucharest victors Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 Esports as well as Echo Fox. The four teams will meet in Atlanta on Nov 4. and 5. Group C starts November 11 and it brings Na’Vi, Astralis, SK Gaming and surprise qualifiers Alternate Attax together in a group that will result in one of the favorites dropping out of competition.

Lastly, we have Group D where Fnatic, EnvyUs, OpTic and Team Dignitas go face to face. Team Dignitas showed they are worth watching out for as they reached the semifinal last weekend at Dreamhack Bucharest.
