Norway pro roster, ENVYUS reach EU&CIS Regional Finals for WESG 2017

There are many important news today about the qualifiers for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for the World Championship WESG 2017 in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive shooting competition.

15 teams took part in the France and Monaco qualifier for WESG 2017, which was played in a single elimination bracket, with best-of-one matches in the first two rounds and best-of-three’s in the deciding semi-finals.

With G2 missing due to the Regional Finals clashing with BLAST Pro Series, EnVyUs, who used Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey instead of Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, were the prime favorites to grab one of the spots.

Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer’s men lived up to their status by taking down DogDown and ARES, as the conclusion of the France and Monaco qualifier for WESG 2017 saw EnVyUs locking down their spot at the Regional Finals with a 2-0 win over ARES (Inferno 16-5, Cobblestone 19-15).

but Limitless were the first team to secure a spot at the WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals from the France & Monaco qualifier after beating RB in the semi-finals.

The French team, headlined by former Epsilon member Théo“LoWkii” Téchené, pulled off the biggest upset of the qualifier so far by beating EnVyUs Academy in the first round of the tournament.

Limitless went on to face RB, featuring former Vexed member Pedro “AlluM3tt3” Morais, with the first map, Inferno, ending with a 16-9 scoreline thanks to a strong individual display from Bryan “Maka” Canda, who boasted a 1.67 Rating.

The map that followed, Cobblestone, was a one-way street, as Limitless took 14 rounds on the CT side before locking down the map just three rounds into the second half.

in other news the Norwegian combine that will play the WESG qualifier has been revealed and features several changes from its inception late last month.

While some of the expected players like the dignitas duo of Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad and Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel are on board, one of the notable changes is the absence of FaZestar Håvard “rain” Nygaard.

The team will also be missing two familiar names in Bjoern“Skurk” Maaren and Pål “Polly” Kammen.

The Norwegian squad, which registered under the name NOREG, will be participating in the Baltics and Scandinavia qualifier—kicking off on October 15—, in which teams like iGame.com and HAVU have already signed up.

NOREG are as follows :

Ruben “RUBINO” Villarroel
Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad
Jorgen “cromen” Robertsen
