EPSILON decides to bench SMOOYA
The European professional team EPSILON decided to put it in a much smaller set than before, having decided to give up OWEN “SMOOYA” BUTTERFIELD.
The British player confirmed the news himself, and it seems that the company has now put him out of the squad after joining them in June to help them win the opening season of the Gfinity Elite Series.
The player said through his official account in Twitter that the reason for his departure from the squad is due to his inability to speak in Swedish, where joined last week three players from Sweden to the lineup are: David “Jayzwalkingz” Kempner, Kevin “kevzy” Nilsson and Gustav “ZINKEN” Björk, but their presence in fact was only during ESEA events and so far the team has not talked about their situation and their future with him.
However, Epsilon will give us an official statement sooner or later about the status of the squad and those professionals from Sweden, although the reasons cited by Owen “smooya” Butterfield are true or just claims.
Especially as the team has many entries in major tournaments such as the major qualifying for the WCA 2017, the 26th season of ESEA MDL, and the second season of the Gfinity Elite Series.
The current lineup looks like this:
André “BARBARR” Möller
Lasse “maeVe” Elgaard
Cosmin-Mihai “cosmeeeN” Butuc
Owen “smooya” Butterfield (benched)
