ESL, the largest esports company in the world has joined hands with ESEA, world’s largest Counter-Strike community to host the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive league in history. A million dollars prize money will be presented to the best teams in addition to full travel support for offline finals in the largest esports arenas.

Starting May 4th, this esports league will aim to grow and sustain the global Counter-Strike scene. ESL and ESEA 30 years worth of experience in the field of competitive esports production and broadcast will be merged for this purpose.

The league will span on the duration of several months with Valve’s blessing and is aiming to present a high quality Counter-Strike content to the audience globally. League’s seasons will be divided between North America and Eurpoe with each division having 12 invited pro teams competing to reach the finals weekly and monitored by ESEA’s leading anti-cheat client. The finals will be held offline between the best of the two continents in a global world tournament.

“ESEA is where the pros play, it’s been that way for more than a decade, and combining our league expertise, a million dollars, and ESL’s exceptional production quality represents a major milestone for everyone who loves Counter-Strike,” said Eric Thunberg, President & CEO of ESEA.
