ESL One Cologne becomes the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event yet
In the course of the last week, Cologne Germany has been at the center of attention for hosting the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event to date, ESL One. More than 11,000 attendants filled the stadiums everyday to watch the competitive championship in action, in addition to more than 27 million unique views on Twitch.
The increase in views was more than 30% of the last ESL One event five months ago, achieving a record that has never been done before by the game or ESL itself. The championship ended with Sweden’s Fnatic snatching victory from France’s EnVyUs at the finals, winning a massive $250.000 prize money and the third title for the team.
Next ESL One event takes place in Dubai during the events of Games15 September 10, after that there will be another event in New York during “Super Week” third of October.
