ESL One Cologne comes back this year with $1 million prize pool
One week has passed since the conclusion of MLG Columbus events where Luminosity Gaming won big, now it’s time to speak about the next Major from Valve which is ESL One Cologne.
“Last year’s ESL One Cologne was one for the history books,” VP of Pro gaming at ESL, Ulrich Schulze. “There are always things we can improve on, and we’re looking to take key learnings from last year to raise the bar even further in 2016 for what will hopefully be a truly legendary experience, both online and off.”
2016’s addition comes with a 1$ million dollar prize pool, and it’ll kick off July 5 for five days ending on the tenth of the same month. All of your favorite CS: GO teams will be present of course, since the first eight spots are reserved to those with “Legendary Status” meaning they were the top eight at Columbus. The other eight spots at One will be determined by qualifiers.
Tickets are now on sale with prices ranging from 41 Euros to 301 for a seat in Lanxess arena, Cologne where the event takes place. You can even purchase a special lounge for 3.000 Euros if you fancy so.
