Evil Geniuses current roster officially done with the exit of last members

This is it then. The legendary Dota 2 roster at Evil Geniuses is no more. After the surprising exit of Fear, zai, and Suma1L last week it was apparent that it’s a matter of time before the last two players follow shoes.

Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora and Peter “ppd” Dager officially left Evil Geniuses according to the Valve Majors registration site. This means that the once greatest Dota 2 team is now just a memory.

Evil Geniuses glory started in 2014 when they had the team of Clinton “Fear” Loomis, Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, UNiVeRsE and ppd. The team placed third at The International 4, a place higher than any other team from the West.

It wasn’t until 2015 the team reached its peak. Together with Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and former Cloud9 support Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, Evil Geniuses towered above the opposition at the International 5 and became the first-ever North American world champions.

2016 wasn’t so kind to the champions, as a major roster change brought the team to its knees. A series of lackluster performances culminating in a last-place finish at the Manila Major. Evil Geniuses traded offlaners with Team Secret, which brought UNiVeRsE back to the fold. The International 5 champions also brought back original support player Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, who aided the team massively on its path to yet another third place finish at the International 6.
