Fatal Frame 5 might be coming west at some point

Wii U’s Japanese exclusive Fatal Frame 5: Oracle of the Sodden Raven might be releasing in the west according to the hint of Team Ninja’s founder Tomonobu Itakagi who previously worked in Tecmo Koei, The studio behind the series.

Although Fatal Frame 5 saw a release in Japan several months ago but we haven’t heard anything on a western release yet. Fans have been asking for a new game ever since they weren’t treated to the original Wii’s exclusive Fatal Frame 4. Itakagi had some words to say on the issue.

“Hey guys, I strongly believe that Kikuchi Keisuke will release the Fatal Frame 5 in America, in many countries, He and me have same philosophy from Tecmo days. That’s what I can say for now. I want you guys to read between the lines.”

So there you have it. Are Itakagi’s hints of any weight and we might see a western release for the game on a console that is suffering to sell due to the lack of varied titles? we’ll have to wait and see.
