Flipsid3 Tactics starts off new year with its biggest win yet at DreamHack Leipzig
Flipsid3 managed to finally gain what it deserves with a big win yesterday at the new year’s first DreamHack tournament, after a dominating performance without a single map loss in the entire event.
The amazing performance crowned Flipsid3 Tactics as the champion of DreamHack Leipzig after a 2-0 win in the finals against German favorites BIG. Despite former NRG players managing to score 11 rounds in both maps it was Flipsid3 that always came on top thanks to its players performance. Especially the new Russian player Denis “electronic” Sharipov who dominated the match in numbers with ADR of 102.
While FlipSid3 finally taking home an international LAN is the big story here, BIG’s performance at the event is almost an equally as notable achievement having only assembled the roster on Jan. 2. DreamHack Leipzig was BIG’s LAN debut after leader Faith “gob b” Dayik formed the new team from former NRG players.
Flipsid3 will look to carry this momentum into next week’s $1 million ELEAGUE Major, where they will face FaZe Clan in their first swiss stage clash. Despite not being the most competitive event, DreamHack Leipzig brought a considerable amount of excitement and has already set 2017 off to a flying start.
