
Fnatic investments reach $7 million dollars with funds from AS Roma and Boston Celtics
Fnatic has raised over $7m in financing thanks to a generous list of investors, of which now includes the Raptor Group, the owners of the Italian football club, AS Roma and NBA team, Boston Celtics.
Fnatic and AS Roma have worked together in the past few months, with Fnatic previously helping the Italian footballing outfit enter the esports space by overseeing their FIFA team. Raptor Group have now strengthened their interest in the space with their investment in Fnatic, further fortifying the relationship between the two parties.
The Boston Celtics are also set to enter esports as part of the eLeague NBA 2K tournament, having promised fans that an “eCeltics” team is just around the corner.
“Fnatic is at the forefront of advancing esports, constantly deploying innovative forms of engagement and monetization that we believe will transform the overall sports and entertainment industry over time.” Raptor Group Investment Officer, Chris Pallotta said in a statement.
