Full E3 trailer released for Uncharted 4 as well as talks about game’s framerate and resolution

Have you watched the demo that was shown at Sony’s E3 conference where it ends on a cliffhanger ending for a video? Fear no more, you can now watch the whole thing and it’s even more impressing than the first half we were shown.

Naughty Dog spoke about the tech side of the game and the numbers that matter for gamers these days, confirming that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be working at 1080p/30fps for the single player campaign.

“We just realized that, for the game we wanted to make, to make the best game possible, [30fps] was just something that we had to do.” said co-lead designer Anthony Newman.

“If we wanted to hit a locked 60fps, there’s a lot of optimizations in the environments that would have to happen, This would make each level take longer to make.

“The same amount of geometry would take longer to make because it would have to be so heavily optimized. And so that could end up having story repercussions. ‘We want to have this scene, but we don’t have the time to make the environment.’ It’s a feature, like any other, and you have to consider it against everything else.”

So 1080p/30fps for the single player. However, Multiplayer is a different story as the team is aiming for 60fps since the locations will be smaller and less detailed for online play than the massive world of the story.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming next year for Playstation 4. Watch the new full demo below:
