Full map for Red Dead Redemption 2 leaked
One of last gen’s best games is about to get a sequel (that’s actually a prequel) soon enough, that’s something we know thanks to all of the hints and leaks. However, This is the first time we get actual material to base information on.
One of NeoGAF’s users had his hands on the official map of Red Dead Redemption 2 from a close source to development team. The map has been confirmed shortly after by Techrader who contacted a trusted source for that source to confirm it actually is indeed a recent map at Rockstar.
The source also pointed out the lack of railroads and how this is because the game is set to be a prequel to the last game with less civilization around this time. There’s no word yet whether we’ll be playing as a young John Marston or someone else.
The map looks rather huge being few times bigger than Red Dead Redemption, with varied areas including water ones and islands as well as returning portions like the Great Plains which you can compare from the old game to the new one.
The official reveal has just got more exciting right now. It’s expected we’ll hear about the game finally this E3 in June, as Rockstar and Take-Two said they’ll have strong presence with few surprises in their sleeves.
Red Dead Redemption is available on PS3 and Xbox 360. A remaster edition is said to be in development for next gen according to rumors.
