G2 Esports is the first team to be invited to DreamHack Austin

Is this going to be the first test for the newly established “French Super Team” squad of G2 Esports? And are they going to make for the disappointment results at ESL Pro League?

In an announcement made by DreamHack today, it was revealed that G2 Esports is the first team invited to DreamHack Austin. From April 28-30, DreamHack will be in Austin, Texas where eight Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will compete for the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize purse.

G2 recently created what they’re calling the “French Super Team.” by signing Kenny “kennyS” Schrub, Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt andDan “apEX” Madesclaire alongside original players “bodyy” and “shox”.

DreamHack Austin is the first confirmed offline tournament for this squad, but there is the possibility that G2 could qualify for the StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3 finals which takes place in Kiev, Ukraine from April 4-9.

The French squad has had a less than stellar showing so far at the European Division of the ESL Pro League currently sitting on a 1-6 record lsoing to teams such as North, Heroic, and Fnatic. We will be seeing if that changes at Austin or possibly i-League.
