GuardiaN and seized leave Na’Vi for a new destination
It looks like the two famous players Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Denis “seized” Kostin will leave Natus Vincere to join another team in what seems like this year’s biggest roster change surprise, according to multiple sources close to the player and organization.
GuardiaN was one of the best AWPers in the world, but he has failed to show the same performance seen prior to MLG Columbus 2016 after a devastating wrist injury. GuardiaN’s recent marriage and time off during the player break will allow him the opportunity to attempt to regain that form leaving Na’Vi and joining FaZe Clan.
The two players are expected to depart the team in the coming days, leaving two open spots on the active roster. The most likely candidates to join Na’vi are Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow and Denis “electronic” Sharipov. Sources have indicated GuardiaN will be heading to FaZe Clan to most likely replace Aleksi “allu” Jalli but that has not been confirmed yet.
Seized has struggled with the heavy burden of being Na’Vi leader ever since Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev replaced Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko last summer. The player has not yet commented and we don’t know where does he plan to go next.
Ever since ELEAGUE Major, Natus Vincere failed to reach the playoffs and qualify again at the PGL Krakow Major last week. On the other hand, a change to FaZe Clan might come as a shock as the team finished top four at its last five events and won one of them. FaZe’s only underperformance came at the PGL Major, which was the first group stage exit for the team since the addition of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač in February.
Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan have not yet commented officially on the matter. Best of luck to the two players and their teams.
