GWENT: The Witcher Card Game first tournament coming soon

 Polish developer CD Projekt Red announced today that it will be holding a Gwent: The Witcher Card Game tournament at Gamescom 2017.

The event will be a two-day ordeal, starting on August 25th and ending with the final match on  the second day August 26th.

a total of eight players will compete for a piece of the $25,000 prize pool. Seven of the eight players will be chosen via their ranks — meaning the seven highest ranked players by August 1st

While the 8th player will be decided via Wild Card Qualifiers held on August 24th, prior to the main event on August 25 .

However CD Projekt Red mentioned that the tournament is part of a larger eSports plan for GWENT that will be revealed and detailed during the show.
