Here are the most viewed Esports titles of August

Esports research firm NewZoo has revealed another Top 10 for the most watched games on Twitch last month, and the numbers are mostly what we expected with one exception or two.

At first place Dota 2 has topped the list which should come as no surprise, as The International was held last month. What was surprising, however, was the rise of Hearthstone in the rankings once again. It beat out Counter-Strike (which was in something of a lull last month after the conclusion of ELEAGUE and the lack of any majors).

One other major surprise was the ever present StarCraft II – many in the community note that the game’s viewership is low, but it’s still higher than both Super Smash Bros and Call of Duty, both titles that have more supportive communities.
