IeSF invites all players to participate in its players commission for 2019
The International Esports Federation (IeSF), organizers of the annual World Championships in eSports, has announced that it is opening the doors for players to join the official Players’ Commission, which will serve as a link between the contenders and the organizers themselves
The Players’ Commission is of great importance in communicating the voice of electronic athletes to IeSF board members. It will play a significant role in representing the interests of these players and transferring them to the IeSF Board starting this year. The Inaugural Committee will be dissolved and a new official committee composed of players will be set in place, consisting of members who have experience in this organization’s competitions.
Members are selected by their national IeSF members, where three male and three female players are nominated. Each National Player Representative is entitled to vote only one vote, and the next IeSF 2019 World Championship will be the meeting place to cast the votes.
In order for the player to qualify they have to be:
- Board member of a member organization
- Reached the majority age
- Represented the organization as a member of a national team in the IeSF World Championship
- Younger than 30 years
Although the Players’ Commission will not have control over games, vote on decisions, attend anti-fraud hearings or any similar duties dealing with players, it will play a pivotal role in ensuring an appropriate environment for all by communicating directly with players who can express their thoughts and opinions through the Discord and Facebook groups dedicated to it, which is a safe place to exchange views and suggestions among participants.
