Worlds 2019 Quarterfinals ends with great performance by DAMWOM Gaming and G2 Esports

The Quarterfinals have ended with the last series between DAMWON Gaming and G2 Esports at League of Legends World Championship 2019 few minutes ago, and here’s what happened

The European champion G2 Esports has defeated DAMWON Gaming the third LCK seeded to secure their spot in the next round of League of Legends World Championship 2019 with 3-1 records. It was a huge battel between both teams to reach the victory in reality.

This series proved that sometimes, returning back to your roots can help you find the success you need—Luka “Perkz” Perković found his way back onto traditional AD carry champions, and with it, he broke out some impressive performances.

This isn’t to take away from DAMWON’s performance, though—the Korean third seed played well, but it was G2 who constantly pushed the tempo throughout a majority of the four games. Even in the one game DAMWON won, they were extremely hesitant to push for fights when they were clearly ahead in the later stages of the match.

Now G2 Esports has earned themselves a spot in the Worlds 2019 semifinals against Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and the star-studded roster of SK Telecom T1, with SKT coming to exact revenge on G2 for their semifinals loss at MSI 2019.

The Worlds 2019 continue with the first series of Semifinals between SKT and G2 on Sunday, November 3 at 1pm CEST.
