Luminosity picks up disbanded Rise Nation CoD roster
Rise Nation may have disbanded on Friday October 28th, but the pros have now found a new home to keep on playing as it was revealed that three of the members will be leaving Daniel ‘Loony’ Loza alone in Rise lineup to join Luminosity Gaming.
It was rumoured that the trio of Josiah ‘Slacked’ Berry, Sam ‘Octane’ Larew and Nicholas ‘Classic’ Di Costanzo had received an offer elsewhere as they were leaving a salaried position. Shortly after theirdeparture from Rise was announced, Luminosity Gaming revealed they’d be the core of their new squad.
The LG organisation entered the Call of Duty scene at the start of Black Ops 3 and after a number of roster changes, they settled upon the Jeremy ‘Study’ Astacio, Michael ‘Spacely’ Schmale, Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler and Renato ‘Saints’ Forza. The former Rise trio will replace Spacely, Study and NAMELESS in the team, with Saints remaining to compete alongside the UMG South Carolina champions. In a statement made by Luminosity, they confirmed they’d help the released players find a new home and will continue to pay their salaries until they do so. It’s expected they’ll stick together as they’ll lose their MLG Las Vegas pool play spot with any other changes.
