Microsoft won’t do Xbox 1.5 like Sony with their PS4.5

If you were hoping for some reason that Microsoft would release a new edition of the Xbox One, presumably an Xbox 1.5, then Phil Spencer has bad news for you.

Sony is reportedly working on a new console codenamed PS4.5 or PS4K, but Microsoft has no intention of doing the same thing with their Xbox device. When asked about the thing at a press event Spencer said that the company is more interested in larger changes than just upgraded power, as the Xbox One is performing well enough according to him.

“If we’re going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it’s reliable, the servers are doing well. If we’re going to go forward with anything, I want it to be a really substantial change for people–an upgrade.”

No official information about PS4K, however many sources confirmed its existence and that it’s being revealed this E3 in June.
