Na’Vi crushes competition to get to FaceIt Major: London 2018 semis

The beloved Ukrainian team Natus Vincere was able to prove itself tonight at the prestigious FACEIT London Major, smashing the European opponent after a strong series of rounds

For BIG, much was at stake. This match was not only the top four in one of the biggest tournaments of the year, but was a golden opportunity to restore the team’s morale and pride as it was basically a rematch of ESL One Cologne 2018 grand finals, which went to Na’Vi. However, the competition in the first day of the quarter final was characterized by a one-sided domination through the Dust II and Nuke maps, where Germany’s BIG were not given the choice of Dust in front of Na’Vi’s dominance. With outstanding performance making it one of the top contenders for the title of London Major of the year.

When Na’Vi was on CT side in the first map, it seemed to be just training for the team, where BIG suffered from imposing any real control or getting a few rounds up. The team finally managed to take two rounds, but it was already settled thanks to the performance of the strong Ukrainian team led by Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Denis “electronic” Sharipov, ending the first map for the opponents with less than 10 Kills for all the players of BIG, while “electronic” Alone had a large number including his own Ace.

With the end of the roud 16, BIG was expected to bounce back and fight furiously on the Nuke map. Despite winning both pistol rounds, Na’Vi’s dominance seemed clear on the T side with the greatest number of rounds, but Egor ” flamie “Vasilyev had performed a hat-trick in the German team as a major reason to win a number of difficult rounds against the opponent. Unfortunately, that was not enough, and with the end of round 16 in favor of Na’Vi, a huge loss was inevitable to exit from the tournament in quarter-finals.

In related news, the MIBR team led by “FalleN” managed to beat the North American compLexity Gaming team after an exciting quarter-final. While the Brazilians dominated the first 16-4, Inferno proved to be the most exciting map of the game with the exchange of blows between the two teams so that MIBR barely scored a four-round lead to beat compLexity Gaming with a score of 16-12, Need for the third map Cache to hit directly to the semi-final against Na’Vi.

The tournament will continue on September 21 with a game called CS: GO between the two teams Astralis and FaZe Clan, while the task of American Team Liquid is very difficult for the strong opponent HellRaisers, who will prevail? We have to wait to see it.
