NBA’s Houston Rockets getting into Esports soon
Following the footsteps of Philadelphia 76ers, the NBA team that bought Team Dignitas in a deal worth $15 million dollars, it seems that Houston Rockets is too looking into getting inside the Esports biz.
The Texas-based basketball team have hired an esports executive to help navigate the brand into competitive gaming. Sebastian Park will assess how the team can join the $500 million industry, claiming nothing is off the table.
Speaking to a website, Park gave this statement:
“Nothing is off the table, we’re going to look at everything. What really drew me to the Rockets was their ability to say, ‘There are things we know, and things we don’t know. We know the esports space is valuable, now let’s take time and really figure it out,”.
