ELEAGUE Major 2018 first match ups revealed

ELEAGUE has revealed the seeding process and the match-ups for the first round of the ELEAGUE Major Boston’s New Challengers Stage, running from January 12-15.

The first Major of 2018 will kick off on January 12 with the New Challengers Stage, featuring the bottom eight finishers of PGL Major Krakow and the top two teams from each of the four Minors that were held at the end of last year.

The 16 participating teams have been split into four seeding pools. In the first round of the Swiss stage, each team from Pool One will take on a Pool Four side, while each team from Pool Two will lock horns with a team from Pool Three.

In the following Swiss rounds, the teams will be paired based on their win-loss record in the tournament. All teams with three wins will progress to the New Legends Stage, joining the top eight finishers from PGL Major Krakow, while the teams recording three defeats will be eliminated.
