New Twitch feature allows you to capture clips from your favorite streams
Famed livestreaming website Twitch had just released a new feature that will surely appeal to a large number of people who like to keep clips from their favorite plays, then share them with their friends on social media without the use of external tools.
Called Clips, the feature lets viewers press a button to create a 30-second video for sharing on social media. It captures 25 seconds prior to the button press and five seconds after. The clips are saved as shared links, and f a broadcaster is offline, the viewer can watch the recorded broadcast from where the clip left off.
This is almost the same service that other third-party apps like Oddshot and LiveCap offer, but what sets Clips apart is that the feature is implemented in the Twitch platform itself, which means the product links back to the original broadcaster and ensures they get the views.
Clips is currently live on Partnered channels for “select viewers” and will roll out to everyone else in the next few weeks.
