No more GTA Online updates for PS3 and Xbox 360

Rockstar announced yesterday something that might sadden some last-gen consoles’ users, which is stopping updates for the online portion of GTA V for the Xbox 360 and PS3, due to hardware limitation.

According to the official statement, pushing more updates with new features to GTA Online will cause problems because of the limited memory of last-gen consoles. Even though the development team had gone in the past and optimized the whole game to squeeze more performance but that won’t be the case anymore, since adding more stuff will cause an instability in the game’s structure.

Upcoming update adds Freemode Events to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions this September. No luck for the PS3 and Xbox 360 anymore.
