OpTic Gaming continues dominating Gears of War tournaments with Paris Open

OpTic managed to do it again and win their fourth Gears tournament this season, with eyes now shifting towards the upcoming and last Open event in Las Vegas.

Twenty-three other teams went to Paris to fight for a cut of the $100,000 prize pool, but none were a match for OpTic Gaming, who continued their reign over the scene by not dropping a single game all weekend.

While OpTic dominated this weekend, the lone Latin American region representative Splyce made a “Cinderella run” at the Paris Open title, knocking off some of the North American region’s best teams and becoming the first international team ever to be in a Gears Grand Final. Despite the tournament being held in Europe, not a single team managed to crack the top-eight on home soil, with Epsilon, Prismatic, and BAM all finishing top-12.
