Orcus faces painful loss and Team Lebanon advances in WCA 2017 MENA Dota 2 Qualifiers Day 2
Another day passes on the region’s biggest Dota 2 event, and another patch of teams we have to say goodbye to as the remaining fight their way to the finals of WCA 2017 qualifiers for the main event in China next December
Upper Bracket teams had some very intense competition as the four teams were pitted against each other in a Best-of-Three set of matches. Team Lebanon managed to defeat RAZE 2-0 yesterday’s evening despite the absence of Maroun “GH” Merhej The International 7 champion.
Things weren’t the same for his Team Liquid’s teammate “Miracle-“ team Orcus, which had its downfall against Bend Over with the match ending 2-0. Now both Team Lebanon and Bend Over will face off in the Upper Bracket’s finals (Semi-finals for the tournament) today at 10 PM UAE/ 8 PM CEST.
Moving down a little we have the Lower Bracket with many interesting updates. Syrian team Art of Execution showed a relentless desire to come back to the competition as it defeated both No Fear and Train your Brain correspondingly, qualifying to the LB’s semi-finals against the fallen team Orcus in this last chance for both teams. The match will be streamed at 6 PM UAE/ 4 PM CEST.
Team SMASH also showed a great spirit in defeating both Game of Throwz and Dad is Proud, and it’s qualifying just like AoE to the semi-finals against RAZE where the competition will be heated to the max.
You can view the full results and the upcoming matches dates below. Esports Middle East team will be casting both TL vs BO and Orcus vs AoE live on its Twitch channel in Arabic, so be sure to attend and cheer for your team.
