Overwatch’s Atlantic Showdown is over with Rogue team as winners

Curtains closed  and competition was put to rest with the conclusion of Overwatch’s biggest tournament yet, with winners being Rogue team.

ESL Atlantic Showdown is the biggest Overwatch’s competition so far with a $100,000 prize pool as well as international bragging rights. This was the first time teams from both North America and Europe got to compete on LAN. Taking place at the technology expo Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Rogue had a less than ideal start after losing to Reunited at first, only to bring back the competition after defeating EnVyUs in the Semi-finals and reaching the Grand Finals to avenge the loss against Reunited, where the team indeed emerged victorious.

The French-Swedish line-up entered the grand finals as overwhelming favorites, and subsequently defeated Reunited 3-1. They were later crowned as the winners of the biggest prize pool in competitive Overwatch as they took home $40,000 and the title of best team in the world.
