Paris Saint-Germain football club buys League of Legends team
As the rumors predicted earlier this week, it looks like France’s well-known football club is venturing into the world of Esports with a League of Legends team to compete in the next season of League of Legends European Challenger Series, Europe’s 2nd tier league after LCS, where they will find another club-sponsored team which is FC Schalke 04.
The club bought Team Huma’s spot in the League of Legends European Challenger Series for “approximately $70,000” and will compete next split as Paris Saint-Germain eSports. Huma’s former owner will use the money from the sale to pay back his former players.
