Playstation 4 leads the European consoles’ market with 70-90%
It’s not hidden from anyone that Sony’s latest console had been gaining lots of praise and attention everywhere and is considered one of the most successful consoles with 20 million units sold so far, but what you might not have known is that Sony’s console share in Europe is reaching up to 90% of the market destroying any other competition.
SCEE president Jim Ryan spoke to a website stating that the console’s share in Europe for Sony is no less than 70%, as it outsells every competing console there, mainly its rival the Xbox One.
The PS4 leadership in most countries means for Sony that the customers are indeed satisfied with the price and the value they’re getting, so don’t expect a significant price cut any time soon according to Ryan “Consumers, equally and more importantly, appear to he happy with the price and the value proposition. We’ll leave it where it is for now.”
Ryan also talked about Sony’s current projects and focus on innovative ideas like Media Molecule’s Dreams Projects that we saw at E3, as well as supporting big titles to meet the expectations from the likes of Uncharted 4, Star Wars Battlefront and The Last Guardian.
