Pro player Rapha wins his fifth title at QuakeCon 2016

Quake competitions are among the oldest Esports tournaments in the history of video games, and they’re not the only thing that repeated itself this year at QuakeCon. Champion Shane “rapha” Hendrixson became Five times champion this year, as he won yet another tournament and got a new trophy on his belt.

American pro “rapha” outmatched his opponent at the grand final Sergey “Evil” Orekhov with a close win of 3-2 to guarantee his fifth title, beating the record of Belorussian player “Cypher” of four wins, who is now focusing on Overwatch competitions.

The absence of “Cypher” didn’t mean “rapha”‘s mission became any easier. as “Evil” managed to give him a run for his money and if not for the American’s skills and last minutes clutches he wouldn’t have won the tournament and the $72.000 1st prize.
