
PSG.LGD and OG advance to semi finals while Evil Geniuses stumbles in Day 3 of The International 9
It was a busy day in Dota 2’s biggest ever tournament, The International 9, and here’s a summary of the matches between Infamous vs Newbee, Team Secret vs Mineski and the anticipated PSG.LGD vs Vici Gaming and OG vs Evil Geniuses
All eyes were of course on the legendary meeting between OG and Evil Geniuses. How would they not be when it’s the strongest challenge for the famous “SumaiL” and his colleagues against the former world champion OG. Despite this, Team Secret was able to steal the show present the most exciting match for the third day, in a heated encounter that secured a place in the classics of the TI Championship over the years.
The match, which was long and had the two teams trade punches, including one of the longest Teamfight of the tournament, secured the Europeans a place in the top eight teams with a 2-1 win over Mineski, who were knocked out of the tournament after an applause-worthy performance and desperate fight to the end.
