Riot Games named the best US company of 2016

And this doesn’t only include video games companies, this is the overall US company of the year.

Inc. publication firm, known for over 40 years of US based financial studies and analysis has released its ranking of the top US companies of the year 2016. It seems that Riot Games was picked as Company of the Year after being one of the top firms in the past couple of years.

Riot Games made history by working on one game for 10 years for it to become, League of Legends, one of the biggest and most profitable titles in the history of video games. It’s not only about League however, as the work conditions at Riot is considered to be one of the best according to Forbes as well.

“[League] is one massive niche,” Inc. wrote. “And as the world continues to fragment and consumers spend more of their lives online, more gargantuan niches will rise up just like it — with deeply passionate, demanding customers who devote large chucks of their lives to a world apart from everyone else.”

League has an estimated player base of 100 million . The company currently stands at 2,500 employees.
