ROG Masters 2017 EMEA qualifiers reaches semi finals

The first day of the Europe, Africa and Middle East qualifiers ended with the speed and simplicity of the ROG Masters 2017.

 

The first day at the ROG Masters EMEA Finals has come to an end as Vega Squadron, mousesports, Seed, and Gambit moved on to the semi-finals.

The event in Krefeld, Germany which will hand out two spots at the ROG Masters World Finals kicked off with best-of-three, quarter-final games.

Vega Squadron faced PANTHERS in the first match and started with a 16-10 victory on Inferno where Pavel “hutji”Lashkov had a 1.42 rating. Nikolay “mir” Bityukov sealed the deal on Train, posting a 22:7 KDR and 1.89 rating as Vega Squadron won the map 16-5 and series 2-0.

mousesports moved past ALTERNATE aTTaX with the same map scores. Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný & company beat the Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen’s team 16-10 on Cobblestone and 16-5 on Train. Robin “ropz” Kool was influential in the win as he averaged a 1.58 rating across two maps.

The series between Tricked and Seed was the closest quarter-final matchup, with the former winning 16-11 on Train and latter securing an overtime victory on Cobblestone. Seed managed to come out ahead by winning Mirage 16-9 and advanced to the semis in Krefeld.

The last game of the day was one-sided as Singularity couldn’t challenge Gambit who won 16-8 on Train and 16-5 on Inferno with Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev’s impressive performance.

Tomorrow will feature two semi-finals and the grand final. Both of the semi-final winners will book a spot in the world finals and those two teams will play a grand final for seeding purposes.
