SKT Telecom T1 in the first day of main event MSI in League of Legends

After a blistering opening ceremony to kick off the MSI 2017 Group Stage, SK Telecom T1 were able to take the first win of the day by beating G2 Esports.

G2 came into the tournament looking for redemption, to prove that they deserve to be international mainstays. At MSI 2016, G2 Esports’ international debut, the team went 2-8 and failed to reach the knockout stage, letting down the EU crowd in the process. To redeem themselves, G2 were set the daunting task of trying to take down the best team in the world—Korea’s SK Telecom T1.  But in the end they can’t do it.

SK Telecom T1 convincingly defeated the Gigabyte Marines to earn their second win on the first day of the 2017 Mid Season Invitational.

SKT hope to retain this undefeated record as they head into their MSI matches in May 11 against TSM and Team WE.
