Steam sales for the winter season coming next week

Prepare your wallets and say goodbye to your loved ones… the biggest sale for PC gamers is about to begin !

A leaked email from the famous website PayPal revealed that Steam Winter Sales for this year are happening next week. This is the second time PayPal have leaked the date of the sales as it has also leaked the date for Fall sales earlier before. According to the leak we’re to expect the sales in December 18.

“Steam” is the biggest online digital store for video games on PC. It’s widely regarded as a platform of itself, many newer titles are releasing exclusively through steam. Steam’s look-alikes include EA’s Origin and Ubisoft’s Uplay but Valve’s store is still the biggest and most popular since its inception in 2003 with the release of Half Life 2. Number of Steam users have exceeded 8 Million so far. A part of why the store is so popular aside from being a store with huge discounts is that it has a complete set of features like chatting with friends, specified forums for each game, trading marketplaces, direct connection with developers, giveaways and competitions.

Steam’s sales happen almost daily, but the big ones are what everyone awaits. You can grab an AAA game for as cheap as $10 if not less. Discounts value range from 33% off to more than 75 and 80% off which gives a pretty good reason for PC gamers to wait for this event eagerly each season of the year. The big discounts are usually Winter and Summer ones though.
