Steam user reaches Level 1000 and owns half of the digital library

We see people obsessed with their hobbies everyday. Individuals with no sense of stopping anytime soon, just like “PalmDesert” who have broken every record Valve created on Steam and went as far as reaching Level 1000 few days ago.

This Steam user from a Japanese nationality passed the 1000 mark forcing Valve employees to come up with a new design for his level and changing some stuff in the database so it can apply to him.

PalmDesert has ruled over the top spot. He currently have 5,029 games and 3,372 DLCs—a respectable chunk of Steam’s 9,000-strong catalogue. In other words, the man knows how to work a Steam sale. And that’s not to mention his 58,666 items.

The weird thing is how PalmDesert managed to actually play hundreds of games that he bought, with over 900+ hours in Left 4 Dead 2 and 500 in Rocksmith.. it’s that crazy.
