The International’s pool prize exceeds $15 million

A new record for the famous Dota 2 MOBA had just been made. Fans’ purchases of The Compendium have successfully raised the prize pool to over $13.4 million dollars for the overall money prize to sit at $15 million for this year’s International.

Valve allows fans to raise the prize money for the yearly event by themselves. With each Compendium bought its money goes straight to the prize pool of the tournament called The International, then Valve adds an additional $1.6 million to that money for the overall treat to the champions.

There’s no doubt that this number is indeed impressive. However, it’s not even the final prize yet.. as the event starts a month from now August 3. Just imagine the money that shall be gathered by then which will ensure a lot of people would be talking about this Esports event.
