The Last Guardian reconfirmed to release this year and new info
The PS4 exclusive that had its share of development-hell time and delays was reannounced at last year’s E3 and is going in the right direction, however we were still unsure if it’s going to be released this year. However, a new interview with the game’s director apparently confirmed that there won’t be further delays.
In the interview with Fumito Ueda he said that he’s very excited even though a little worried about the game, but he promises it’ll release in time this year with no more delays. The Last Guardian got some new information as well, mainly about the creature Trico who accompanies the player throughout the game.
Apparently, Trico will have his own mind and will make the decision whether to help the player in his request or not. With time, the relationship between the boy and Trico will become stronger and he’ll be more willing to do the things he thought weren’t fun at first. Trico’s physical traits were also touched upon, as Ueda said his eyes color will indicate his mood and his tail can be used to shoot laser beam on wherever the player points so he can advance through obstacles.
The Last Guardian releases on PS4 this year.
