This is how you enter The Old Hunters DLC in Bloodborne

If you’ve been following the recent From Software games, you probably know that even accessing their DLCs is hard and complicated. Developers at From always tend to merge the additional content inside the game world so you can visit it as a regular secret level that hadn’t been there before.

Bloodborne is no exception. The Old Hunters expansion DLC that was released yesterday was met with positive acclaim as a fine addition to the excellent game, and this is how you gain access to it if you opted to purchase it:

• Purchase and download The Old Hunters DLC from PSN.
• Kill the boss of the Cathedral Ward. Examine the altar in the back room and change the in-game time to night.
• Go to the Hunter’s Dream and get the Eye of the Blood-drunk Hunter from a messenger.
• Next, go to the Oeden Chapel and leave via the left-hand exit. You will enter the square from here.
• Now go to the right-hand end of the square to trigger an event. This event will now take you to a new area: the Hunter’s Nightmare.
• Lighting the lamp in the area will let you travel to and from this area via the Awakening Headstone in the Hunter’s Dream.

Bloodborne is now available on PS4. A special version called “Game of the Year Edition” is to be released soon containing the core game as well as the DLC on one disk.
