Tricked wins NGC Masters 2017
NGC Masters 2017 finally came to an end today, after a fast and good battle between four teams, saw the survival of one.
Tricked have won the 2017 edition of the Nordish Gaming Convention Masters after defeating AGO 2-0 in the final.
The final day of the German event, featuring a €15,000 prize pool, began with Singularity, one of the two group winners, being sent packing in the first round of the playoffs following a quick two-map series against Tricked, who dropped just 12 rounds total.
In the other semi-final match, AGO beat North Academy also on two maps, thanks to great individual displays from Damian “Furlan” Kislowski and Michał “snatchie” Rudzki, both of whom had a rating higher than 1.40.
Tricked entered the final determined to take revenge on AGO for the 16-4 beating during the group stage, taking the lead in the series with a hard-fought 16-13 victory on Cobblestone, where Ismail “refrezh” Ali racked up 35 kills. Train was the map that followed, and even though AGO took nine rounds into the second half, a near-flawless CT display from Tricked saw them drop just two rounds before locking down the map and the series.
