Vodafone signs new sponsorship deal with mousesports

International telecommunication company Vodafone is looking into more investments in the esports scene, with mousesports joining G2 on the list of sponsored teams.

Mousesports announced the news that Vodafone is now its new head sponsor and called it a “milestone” in the club’s history. The deal is said to be worth a “solid six-digit figure.” and it’s set to kick off immediately with players wearing the company’s logo at the ESL Finals in Dallas this weekend.

The money will be invested into the club’s Dota 2 presence, the team’s infrastructure, and secures mouz capability to match up with the growing transfer fees according to Mousesports CEO Cengiz Tüylü.

“Gamers need high speed and that’s what we stand for. High speed Internet is a natural and vital prerequisite for esports—for teams as well as the fans themselves! With our commitment, we want to stand for competition, fairness and sportsmanship—on and off the server.” Gregor Gründgens, Director Brand Marketing at Vodafone Germany, said.

Vodafone recently renewed its partnership with G2 with a deal worth $1 million per year. With both mousesports and G2, the company is now a significant sponsor in the Esports space and will be definitely encouraging other investors in directly to get into this new and young business.
